Scratchy Throat and Runny Nose…

Oh no!  I woke up this morning with a little bit of a scratchy throat which happens sometimes in the winter.  I grabbed a cup of hot tea and thought nothing more about it until a little bit later.  I noticed this little catch in my throat which made me cough.  A couple of coughing fits later, it dawned on me.  I caught the cold my husband suffered with last weekend.  Great!  He is a pretty strong guy who doesn’t usually let too much get him down, but this cold did him in:  tired, achy, runny nose, and cough.  I remembered he did say that it took a few days before it really hit.  I have time…

I went to the store and bought some medicine for ‘pre-colds.’  I’ve never tried this type of medicine before because I always wondered how someone knew that they were getting a cold.  Well, I guess I discovered the answer to that question!  I bought the medicine, came home, ate lunch and let the medicine dissolve on my tongue following the directions on the box.  Every three hours, I am suppose to take another dose.

I hope it works!  I’ll keep you posted if it does or it does not.  Fingers crossed that it works!

  2. Tough start to the day, but sometimes it’s nice to have an excuse to stay in bed. Good luck!
