Sitting in a Parking Lot

Filed under: Uncategorized — mvervinck @ 12:39 am

Driving back from a relaxing weekend visiting my parents, I return home just in time to pick my daughter up from her job. Since I am already in my car and driving by her place if employment, I offer go pick her up. I keep a close eye on the door, waiting for her to come out into the parking lot. As I wait, I read a little using an app on my phone and listen to the radio. It reminds me of when I was little and would sit in the car with my mom waiting on my brother to finish either basketball or football practice. We would each have a book or we would talk.  I never minded waiting for him, and I never had any electronics to entertain me, just a book or conversation with my mom.

Soon, we will be on our way home, talking and chatting about our day.

  1. I never mind waiting in my van. It is always a refreshing time to just catch up on life through my phone and its apps. I also look forward to the time my sons and I have together traveling from one place to another. We have the greatest conversations during those times.
